An infinite baffle subwoofer utilizes attic space or crawl space as the "box" for the subwoofer. A manifold is constructed to house the drivers and is installed in the attic or crawlspace leaving the room free from the huge box. Multiple drivers are common and power requirements are low for such incredible output. Here are a few pictures of the manifold under construction. I'll be creating a build diary soon.
